O.P. (UK) BT Broadband
Just an enquiry about the free upgrade. Has anyone else who is using BT Broadband recieved it yet as I don't believe I have. Will they notify me when they do it; do I have to make the first move for them to do it; how does it work etc?

I am on a 1mb package so should be upgraded to 2mb. Having said this my current speed on the net is only 576 kb (see S/S):

Surely it shouldn't be this low?

I'd check the gateway between you and the internet's speed, see if that is interfering. When I got upgraded I got no notice of it, if I hadn't heard from other sources it would have come as a nice surprise :p. Afaik, everyone on BT I know has received the upgrade.

No, you don't have to do anything. However your internet connection may go down for 30 minutes.

Try going Start==> Settings ==> Control Panel ==> Network Connections.

My connection via the router comes through as a Local Area Connection and has the router name (BT Voyager 205). Double click and bobs your ncle
