i searched for pop3 problems on the forum but they didnt help

i have an email on mail.com and i tried the Messenger Plus POP3 feature to get notified on new emails but it didnt work .. i think i filled everything correctly because i got the server pop1.mail.com and port 110 from the internet but when i click on test settings it says that server couldnt be contacted

any ideas?...

are you sure your login is correct? for example, if your email is "jojo@blabla.com" your login can be either "jojo" or the whole email.

You may need to activate pop3 in your mail.com account (settings).

do you use an e-mail client like Outlook Express or Thunderbird?

well .. yeah im sure my login is correct, i put my whole email in both email and login... and no i dont use a an email client, i check my email just by going to the website mail.com

how do i do that?

i use a LAN connection by the way .. i think thats the problem  ..  if it is ..  is there any solutions for this?
