i have simcity 4 and everytime i start it  the screen turns black for a bit then goes back to normal no warning or anyhting please help

Maybe a Video card problem.. ?

DirectX problem?

it says i have the most recent version of directx and it compoenets. also the game has started on this computer a while ago then i got rid of it and now it wont even start

and this is about the video card

hmmm..maybe u have an OpenGL problems but im not sure..i check from the www.intel.com website that u have the latest graphics controllel version and that they dont even have 6.14 they only have 6.13

but u might wanna download Everest to see other info on ur computer..maybe u'll see sometin

that used to happen to me you have to download a windows update that used to happen during 007 night fire

i did all the window updates i updated the grapics driver i dont know what im supposed to be lookin for in that everest anyway thanks for trying to help

I have the same problem with the Battlefield 2 Demo.

I have Radeon 9800 pro with newest Ati Catalyst drivers, no DirectX problems (@ dxdiag), newest soundcard drivers (Intel Integrated Audio/Ac'97).

I have no idea what's wrong

simcity doesn't use Opengl

as a product ot EA its made under D3D

try reinstalling the game

your video drivers

directX (or Service pack 2 to if using XP)
