I have a problem with Messanger 7.  Everytime I log in and try to open a window to chat, my msn just closes down on me
Could someone please help me to resovle this situtation?

Yep course we can, are you running Smiley Central?

If you use Smileycentral, uninstall that and all will be fine again.

Additionally, are you using any other Plugins?

Have you tried reinstalling?

Uninstall MSN first by going to contorl panel, add/remove programs, MSN Messenger 7.0, Remove.

Then download again from messenger.msn.com

When you have done that, try running MSN messenger without plus and with plus to see if the problem still occurs.

EDIT: If you are running Messenger Discovery, try running MSN without Messenger Dicscovery.

I have this problem as well, and it has been discussed extensively on the Stuffplug forums im pretty sure, no1 knew what caused it so if any one could shed some light its appreciated

Do you get error messages or is it just a simple crash?

Do you still have the old handwriting plugin installed?

What MSN version are you running

I think i possibly know what could be causing this. When i had the File transfer plugin installed my msn would close down upon opening a window with someone or if someone started a convo with me. After uinstalling the plugin MSN was fine. If you have the file transfer plugin installed try uninstalling it and see if that helps.
