O.P. Huh?  Why is it that when threads get moved, they automaticly get locked?
This just doesn't make sense to me. If you move a thread, shouldn't people be able to post in it in the correct catigory..?

when the appropriate thread is not suitable in the catogory in wich u posted then admin just move it to the correct (suitable) catogory (place) and the the thread locked where u originally posted but u can access the thread from its new catogory...

sometime threads get locked or deleted for some other reasons.. because they are against the rules.. or there is no further need of them.. or they are only annoucement or notices made by admins or mods...

I am assuming this question was asked because when a thread gets moved, the forum it was in shows a [Image: lockfolder.gif] next to it. However, you can still click the link to the thread and most likely post in the thread nonetheless. The icon can in this case be misleading, I agree.

Yeah, I'd prefer to see an icon with an arrow on or something, it would be much easier to see that it's been moved to somewhere else. Not that I'm too dumb to notice the big bold "moved" just it's easier to instantly see a moved icon that have to read text, it's quicker and that was the purpose of icons. To be able to see something and recognise it, without reading.

Yes thats true. There should be a different icon for a thread that has been moved. the locked one just confuses me as you probably already figured out.

How about this icon or something of its sort for a moved thread?

.bmp File Attachment: thread.moved.bmp (694 bytes)
This file has been downloaded 489 time(s).

Yeah I like it! The forum should consider it.
