I won't get into specifics, because it would most likely confuse the reader, but...

i can't log onto msn to SAVE my msgplus settings for my different email addy's, but was wondering if there is ANY other way to save my msgplus settings? mainly i have like 150 peolpe i used custon contact names for and descriptions,f or work and such...and i don't have the backup files for these email addy's anymore

i can access the msg plus folder and msn messenger folder and such

ANY way at all? without having to log onto msn?

You don't nessecairly need to be logged in though. If you're lucky, the default user was you and thus Plus! will still be loading in the preferences and you can import/export the settings like you normally would.

If that is not the case then you need to backup the registry settings yourself (accessing Plus! folder and msn messenger folder wont do you any good, nothing is saved there. It is all stored in the registry):

In the registry go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\<email_from_user_you_want_to_save>

My problem was windows wouldn't load, so i couldn't access it. But i installed a 2nd windows on the same hard drive and could access files on drive C: but couldn't load plus or anything

a very weird problem for sure, but i REALLY would love to get my plus! settings back somehow...

i just can't log into the other windows because it keeps restarting

did you scan for virusses on that other hard disk? The virusses Blaster and Sasser are known to restart your computer.

This is a very good online scanner if you can't afford to download and/or buy a scanner

I installed windows on the SAME hard disk, it has to be a problem with the boot up

i can't get into safe mode or ANYTHING
its really really odd
