O.P. WINDOWS folder in recycle bin
withbout a doubt, most of you have encountered this problem from time to time.
for those of you that have no idea wot this is about, let me fill you.
somehow, a folder called WINDOWS appears in your recycle bin. The recycle bin icon shows its full yet when u open the recycle bin nothing is there. You cant restore the item or delete it
I know there a few fixes. like make a new file( e.g. text file) and send it to the recycle bin or terminate the explorer.exe process, start it again and empty the bin.
what i want to know is, is there a permanent fix for this?!!

RE: WINDOWS folder in recycle bin
I never heard of this, but can this be anything like a trojan/virus? Because I don't see why a windows folder would appear in there.. also if your system still is working good with the "windows" folder in the trash.. then I don't think there's anything in it.. I would delete it if it's empty and useless..
Try doing a virus scan, adaware scan as well..

this is no virus/trojan, nor is it ad ware or spyware from what i know but i might be wrong.
i have only seen this problem in Windows XP and Windows 2000
You cant delete the folder. It says "Access is denied to a certain file"

Erm, are you using iconpackager or something? Try going into display properties and changing the Recycle Bin Empty icon
