I have noticed recently after an updated to msgplus that when someone sends me a message the window doesn't appear with the message unless I click on the persons name and then I see the message that was sent?

Any ideas why the window is not popping up?

I assume you want them to popup instead of appearing minimized on taskbar. To alter that you can edit the registry yourself or use Plus!Tweak wich you can find here: http://msgplus.net/help_registry.php

Boolean value. If true (1), new chat windows are not displayed minimised when they are created.

They don't appear to minimise on the desktop! Thats the problem

Then how do you know that someone/who messaged you?

Do you use any plugins or smileycentral? have you tried a reinstall of MSNM?

If i click on the main msn window and on a name to send that person a message it pops up with the message in and the time is shown.

Tried reinstalling and no plugins.

You could try a clean install of msnm:
1. uninstall MSNM
2. reboot
3. remove all folders pointing to msn messenger in programfiles folder
4. remove C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger (by doing this you will loose all custom emotes and backgrounds aswell, you can back them up by using CE/DP backup wizard wich works with MSNM 7 too even tho it doesn't say so)
If you don't see this folder then you got the folder hidden to make it show go into a folder,  in the menu click on "tools" > (folder)options..go to "view"tab and in the list scroll down to hidden files/folders, check to show them and click "ok".

After doing all that reinstall MSN Messenger.
