Shoutbox

Whenever i try to post in a forum where the reply box opens up as a partial screen within the screen it never works! I'm using both internet explorer and firefox and neither will let me post on different forums!

I've turned the pop up blocker off on both these programs and even put the web address of the forum into the 'allow pop ups' but this doesnt work either.

pleaseeeee someone help me! thx!

do you have javascript enabled?

my computers just new. how do i find this out? Thx for the quick reply.

- i checked something called 'java console' in firefox and got the following.

i dont know what it means but these were all the links then the reply box should have popped up.

any ideas?

well you may have to install it as well

i think you would, seeing as most browers allow it anyway

how do i install java and where do i get it?

does this only happen on one website? if so it could be caused by broken javascipt code. Which is what it looks like with the screenshot of the javscript console.
Also all the recent versions of windows have come with javascript itstalled.

Finally java is compleatly different thing to javascript, the only simalaritys is the syntax of the code, which shouldnt concern you

i've only seen it happen so far on one webpage. But it used to work for me on my laptop and my old computer which i got rid of only a few days ago so its not really the fault of the website!

Anyway to fix it?

is what i get at the bottom of the page then i click on reply.

open your firefox javascript console hit clear and then type a message on the forums and hit reply , then paste the messeges you see.

the messeges you were seeing was from a different site in the other one.....

also btw you dont happen to be using any greasemonkey scripts? like my wysiwyg editor?...

How about a pop up blocker? if the box 'pops up' and its blocked by IE or some other tool it wont pop up

i think its better to contact that site instead...
