First (major)  Problem:

ok back in march i finished building my computer, and installed windows for the first time, when i did that, my desktop had NO icons, not even the default "my computer, internet explorer, my documents"

but if i veiw my desktop from a window i see the icons, i've learned to live with them but today i installed a new theme and i want my icons, can anybody help


Second (minor) Problem:

i remember theres a program that you can use to extract or change program icons, its called like resorces hacker or something like that dose anybody know what i'm tlaking about?

Prob 1 - right click -> arrange icons by -> show desktop icons

Prob 2 - reshack? http://anton.concord.ru/ftp/reshack/ should be it..

problem 2, no that wasn't the problem, but i have fixed tht one(#2)

Right Click Desktop > Proptiers > Desktop > Customize Desktop > Check the icons you want.

And you can use IconPackager to change the shell icons of your computer.
