O.P. Firewall/Zone Alarm: Disable Windows Firewall
In Zone Alarm, is it better to keep the Windows Firewall on or off?
In Firewall/Advanced it has an option to disable it.

I would say so because why do you need two firewalls running at the same time? They might cause troubles if you run them both at the same time.

ZoneAlarm automatically turns off the Windows firewall while it's running, then turns it back on when it's shut down. Having 2 on at the same time is not a good idea.

O.P. RE: Firewall/Zone Alarm: Disable Windows Firewall
Well my brother put on three :p and it crashed the computer when I connected to the internet, so now I know why.

Zone Alarm does have the option to keep it on, so I was wondering why.

[offtopic]I just read an article and it said there that BlackICE Defender v2.5 ($39.95) was useless, but ZA passed the security test. This will be an old version, but still if you are using that maybe you should get a better firewall...[/offtopic]
