My windows just went crazy on me so I am backing up all my files, but I was going to reinstall a fresh copy soon anyway. I want your opinion on what programs I should get when I install the new copy. These include anti-virus, anti-spyware and stuff for security. Any programs you really like and think would be useful for me.

And yes I will be installing msn messenger and Plus! so don't bother putting that in your list

All help/opinion is appreciated.

EDIt: I also already use Firefox

EDIT2: winrar, winzip are a must imo, and also the types of programs I want are security, and possibly useful ones for my website

You didn't say what kind(s) of programs you'd like to install. As a visual artist, i would install graphics and media editing software. Please be more specific when asking such information.

A plain user shouldn't need more than Firefox, NOd32, Sygate and cmd.exe.

No, take Panda Platinum, it's better than Titanium, it's a bit more expensive but it comes with an Firewall

i have titanuim. isent titanium better than platinum?
