If it is a waste of time then why is it so popular?

Some poeple can take it a bit too far, but my life wouldnt be complete without a few nerds too laugh at!

I actually have woken up because someone was messaging me (with stuff which could wait). Nevertheless I'm still here, while I need to get up urly....

So, yeah, it is sometimes a waste of time, and yes, even if it is a waste of time people will still do it... it's called "addiction"...

IM clients are being used more an more in the work place, not just for home users, so its not a waste of time,

That right there is why I love MSN or any IM for that matter. I met the girl of my dreams on MSN and I'm going to marry her soon once we're financially ready. So no, MSN is not a waste of time. Heck, it can even change your life!

I agree I don't talk to many people on msn, actually only one main one nowadays . We talk on the phone, write emails and letters too, but msn is just really convenient. I agree about the confidence too, there's less phatic talk on msn sometimes(depending on who you talk to, sometimes its a real waste, cos its the usual "hi" "how are u" then its all over).

i met some of the coolest people on msn so i will never regret using msgr

Plus, like everyone has been saying...you got to love that you can think before you type so you won't say nothing wrong. There's alot of times I wish I could do that with my big mouth. I've been known to just run off at the mouth and say something wrong and seriously regret it later.

i think its a waste of time only when im waiting for someone or fighting withthat same person.
