  if someone wants to add emoticons to Google Talk, they can, no-ones forcing you to use it

Yeah, i really love google talk because of its simplicity, so keep up the good work man , but try not to over crowd the feature list if you get what i mean !

That's exactly what I was thinking. I won't implement any stuff like display pictures/webcam support etc. But I think chat logging would be nice for example.
