Hello,

First of all I want to ask forgive me for my poor english.

My problem is with the emoticon panel of the Messenger Plus.

I wan´t to change the emoticons that I see in the panel but I don´t know how or I´m having problems.

This is the image of the preferences.



If you look into you are going to see that the option to "Configure"  is not available.

What can I do to customize my Messenger Plus emoticon panel??

ok try another place,

when talking to someone type ( so the panel appears then click on configure.


or click on the emoticon panel and then more and modify each one

The configure button is supposed to be disabled only when you don't have any custom emoticons... is that your case?

The same thing happens in the emoticon panel on a conversation window. I can´t click on customize.

try this instead:

Tools -> My Emoticons

You can change the emoticons using Pin/Unpin.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask

Yes, but as far as Danniboy is concerned the msgplus emoticon panel is the same as the messenger emoticon panel.
Patchou gave a reason as to why the button was greyed out. I gave the most logical solution to his problem.
Which was the same as yours anyway

You are right, that was the problem.
When I erease all the emoticons in the MSN panel and put new ones I can customize what I want on any Messenger Plus panel.

So you did have custom emoticons? So in that case, to answer Patchou's question: yes, I have custom emoticons...

Can you be more clear about what you had before? Did you had custom emoticons or not at the time the customize/configure button was disabled?

What is the exact MSN Messenger version and exact Messenger Plus! version that you use? You can find the MSN Messenger version in "Tools > About" and the Messenger Plus! version in "Plus! > About".

Note: custom emoticons are emoticons you have created. So they are not the ones which are already in MSN Messenger like etc...
