poeple should make a plugin that can alter names for some poeple

for example when someone signs on they will see my name dennis but i want that changed for that only one person so if he will log on it will say something else

another example... so if u have a swear in your name and one of your parents sign on and you could make it so they can see a different name and everybody else see;s the other one and can make it for everyone... so if i want to say **** sucks and **** signs on and he will see a  different name then someone eles

i dont think that could be done legally, 

i dont get whats so wrong about it? could you explain pleasE?

There's nothing wrong with this suggestion. However, the problem comes with how the protocol works. It's only possible to use a custom name in a conversation, not on the contact list. All contacts will see the same name on the contact list.

The only way it seems to be able to be done right now is if the people you want to see you with a different name have MSGPlus! and use the custom names feature to rename contacts for you. So, just another reason why Plus! is such a great program and to get you to get others to use it.
