I installed a fresh copy of WinXP to my laptop and since then i have been unable to get in the www.mess.be website. i've tried to get in using IE 7, FF 1.5 and Opera 8, but nothing helps. I've uninstalled ad-aware and spywareblaster and that didn't change anything too.

I'm simply getting "The server at www.mess.be is taking too long to respond. [FF]" or "The page cannot be displayed. [IE]" constantly. But the page should be visitable.

Then its the Mess server?
Try usinga proxy and see if you can get through to it?

does this help?

it could also be your hosts file, but i'm not the one to explain it

or you could be blocked by the mess.be server for some reason try a proxy like hmaster said

emptied the hosts file but nothing. what is proxy? total newbie in that field...

server has probably blocked you thinking your a hacker or something this happened to me on my own hosting twice

try this as the URL for mess.be http://64.246.11.218/

If this works call your ISP and say you can't hit mess.be by its domain name but you can by its IP Address, something would be wrong with your ISPs DNS. If you can't hit it they may have blocked it.

If you would, PM me you IP address and I'll check with Phil to see if your IP/Subnet is being blocked by our firewall .
