There was and never will be a plugin to get a contact's IP. Period.

if there using messenger plus then make them type (!IP)

there are pluging on this site that can show it, but both need to have it installed so you can see it, is a beta by the way...

i have a program that does it. its not a plugin though and its decieving so you can get into a lot of trouble.

Is it something dodgy like a trojan (e.g sub7)? :/

well you send it to them with a different name and they just get an error and so they say it didnt work, but really its running in the background.
