It says that the name is not gonna be MSN messenger anymore, but Windows Live Messenger.

There is not going to be the butterfly any more.

That you can run either msn messenger or windows live messenger.. just like MSN messenger 7.0 and 7.5

it'll be "ill talk to you on Windows live"


wtf. Everybody calls it just "MSN". CHanging that isnt going to do the brand any favours =/

i HATE the name....

Its a stupid name. Whats the point of changing an established brand name? I cant really think of a good reason why it needs to be changed!

You dont change a brand like that for the mere sake of it...

it's been more than 5 years with that name i think and now they will be changing it, it's sad.

Maybe because of the Yahoo & MSN combination..

Anyways.. I think it doesn't change much for me, I'll probably switch to Windows Live... Just want to be up-to-date..

Humm.. I don't really understand why you guys are sad about it..? u still have the same product, only the name has changed..?

BTW! huge thx to Lt.Col Dragon,  I needed some important MSN ppl to help me out with a research for school.. thx rlly for posting this..!

i think its stupid, but hey. its microsoft's monopoly product.. let them do as they choose.
