where abouts can i edit what programs open which types of file...

right click a file and hit open with

or if your in a folder a few buttions beside File click Tools then Folder options then click File Types and a list should appear

if you don't see any "open with", hold your shift key while right clicking

you can also find it in the folder options (win 2k/xp: control panel; other versions: in an explorer window, tools -> folder options)

nah it aint working... i accidently set that to adobe pdf viewer... and what i want to open it with is an exe but it wont add to the list of things...

so i just wanted to remove the pdf viewer from opening it so it wouldn't open with anything

keep it to something like notepad then, so that even if u open it accidently, it wont waste much or ur time!

Open My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types you can change it here.

even that will only give u the option to change the program, not to set it in a such a way that it doesnt open anything
