I am a newbie to MsgPlus! so please excuse me. I am trying to view my chat logs by right clicking on a contact and going to the Messenger Plus menu and clicking on the "Open Chat Log" button. However, I keep getting an error that "No log has been recorded with this contact yet". However, when I go to the directory where the chat logs are stored, they are there. Why is the tool not able to find them? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application, but that does not help. I am running MSN 5.1 because that is all our corporate policy allows.

Have you made contact with this person this month? The log does not look in archived chat logs, only those for the current month (If you are using the default options for logs)

This may sound silly but are you sure you are logging with Msg Plus! not MSNm?

To check go to Plus > preferences > logging..see if "automaticly log..." is checked.

Yes, these are all current chats that I am looking for. I can have a chat with a person and see the log file created. But, when I try to open the log using the menus on the tool bar it does not find the log.

Yes, the automatically log checkbox is checked. I am sure I am using this Messenger Plus.
