O.P. ATI did it first...
Looks like ATI is the first to bring out a graphic card with 512MB of video ram (wo/Crossfire) with their new Radeon X1800 XT. They go for $550US, so if u really wanna have the best vid card out there (and ready to blow that kinda cash), this is the card for you.

Actually, im pretty Sure why ATI wasnt is to allow Nvidia sales or somehting like that get better than they have been. , so im sure literally ATI brang it out first but let Nvidia bring it out to boost there sales as it hasnt been that good from what i have/had read i htink on news in neowin awhile ago

How come i've never seen one for purachse ? And come to think of it, it would probably be more expensive then ATI's

For 512MB vid Ram no, but there is the Radeon X1300 for $130US that has 128MB of vid ram.

ya wouldnt bother getting a 128MB card, i think mines a 256MB card, x700 Pro ATI

I really want to get one of the new 512Mb RAM video cards, it would be awesome! Cool thing is, I might actually have the money to buy one in a few months... Got to upgrade my RAM first though!
Is the ATi Radeon 9800 Pro worth getting?
