I cant sign into msn messenger ever since i got a dodgy dll error (vsnit.dll or something) and i used system restore. The last restore point was the one where i installed the new msn messenger (where messenger was working).

After the restoration was done my messenger, plus!, nero and printer drivers werent working (the last two are ok cause they were installed after the restore point)

So i reinstalled the first two and ever since then i cant sign it. I thought it might be a problem with the server so i tried it again today and its not working so i ran the connection wizard and it says everything is ok O.o



(Hence the title)

i myself have had problems with sining into MSN Messenger, first time that i have had real problems, it'll log me out or just wont connect when i startup PC till i manually connect it myself,

Yeah i had that problem but it got fixed when i got the newer versions

Try a fresh install ??

And btw, i already tried it for my problem

cant be bothered, if it shits itself again, i'll just use Trillian pro but its been ok so far

I need a solution cause everyone i know is on msn (plus we have plus!)

Somebody help ....

1. Check the systemclock, see if everything is set alright.
2. Rereg softpub.dll: start > run..type: regsvr32 softpub.dll <enter>
3. Remove any Internet Explorer proxy settings: tools > internet options > connection (tab) > click Lan Settings..untick "Use a proxy server for your LAN"..click "OK"

what if you Cleared you DNS cache?

Drop to a command box and type:

ipconfig /flushdns
