Recently I formatted my computer, and many friends of me changed their's.  Is any way of backing-up all the Messenger Plus! options?

Many things as custom emoticons, "display on desktop" "custom contact name" and message helpers could must be rescued!!!!  How can I do that??

All messenger Plus! options can be saved by going to plus > preferences..at the bottom left you will see a link "save/load"

Don't forget to also make a soundpack of your custom sounds: plus > soundlibrary > add new sounds...export existing sounds

To back up custom emotes etc you can use Custom Emoticon/Display Picture Backup Wizard (saves custom emotes etc. with original file extension) or MSN Backup (saves in MCO format).

You can't get any of those back once you formatted..but for next time you can back them up this way and burn those files onto a cd or store them elsewhere

thanks,  for the info, the link you posted doesnt work. but yeah i was talking about msn options, not msgplus of course, there's already a function for that in it but it doesnt doanything outside of msgplus options.

Works for me, you may have to scroll down a bit...the program is below the adverts (on top). If it does not work at all you may have to look at your programs (those that block certain sites) or your hosts file. More info on how to edit the hosts file can be found here (ofcourse in this case you look for entries containing "sherv").

yes my hosts file contains that server, i use the m$ mvps hosts file.

i'll just deactivate it to get the program.
