O.P. Cutting a song?
In Messenger Plus! you can add a music track and then cut 8 seconds of the track.

What I want to do is cut part of a music track for about a minute or two then save it as a new mp3 file, but have no idea how to do this.

Just need a program or something?

Thanks

Try Audacity. You can use it to do exactly what you described.

You just click and drag to select a part of a song, and press delete to delete the selection.

To export to MP3 you will need LAME, there are instructions on the download page about getting LAME.
