Hey,

I "had"(it died like 1 hour ago ) a Gefore FX5500 Ultra 250mb PCI Video Card. Today I was about to go to sleep when my monitor flickered and my videocard started smoking.

It was one of the transistors that like leaked or something...

My question. Any way to fix?
Any reasons why it would "explode"?

Im using my motherboards video card ATM (it sucks tbh)

Are there any good PCI Video Cards with 256mb or 512mb? If so can they ship to Canada...or a store in Canada.?

I really don't know why it would explode, however I can maybe help you find a video card.
I myself went shopping for video cards [except I want the whole computer that comes with it.lol] this week and I found alot of good cards. Maybe you could get one for like 70 bucks if you go to Hull to a computer store [or one near you]

All it was, is that the transistor has white comming out of it...or acid I unno ...there were 2 and the second one was normal...

That transistor's mullered, and there's no way to fix it. It's probably led to other parts of the card being damaged too. Also, check your motherboard around that slot, just in case. If all's well, then check out local computer stores, dabs.com, places like that.

Yep the motherboard looks perfect. I cleaned it with compressed air after to get rid of all the dust also...will do
