Always try to state the exact and complete version numbers (major.minor.build). "the latest" is not specific enough. eg: there are more then 3 "latest" versions of msn messenger, a latest for 7.0, for 7.5, for 6.2, then there are "latest" versions depending on OS, etc...
When filing a bug report (or ask for help) always at least state:
- the exact and complete version number of Messenger (in the form of x.x.xxx)
- (and for some cases, even state the language you're using for msn messenger)
- the exact and complete version number of Messenger Plus! (in the form of x.x.xxx)
- Your Windows version and Service Pack number
Version numbers can almost always be found in the "about" dialogs of software. For MSN Messenger, this is the menu "Tools > About". For Messenger Plus! it is "Plus! > About", etc...

When you get that dialog, there should be an option to view more details. If you do that and tell us what the module name is, we can try and track down the error.
Indeed, or even better take a screenshot and attach that screenshot to a post in this thread

EDIT:
"MSN messenger: 7.5" is not an exact complete version number either.
