Hello,
I am new to the forums.. and i need a little help.. I just downloaded the Msn messenger plus to try it.. ( I didnt download the sponsers) - I dont think.. and i have adaware 6 SE installed on my computer, and ran it.. and it didnt find any spyware - im also running norton anti-virus and the def for it were just updated yesterday.
However; as im looking at the new plus - i dont understand a few things and would like some help if anyone can.

1. am i correct to believe that msn messenger plus is free to use? 
2. I have tried a few times to get my user name to change color ( I used the method in the FAQ section) and it didnt work.. maybe its possible that the reason it didnt work.. was because i tried it with a friend that has a older version of msn and not the plus version?
3. I am using a .net email address to connect with messenger, but i have no idea how to set up the email through msn messenger itself?
4. I was able to send a voice clip while using 7.5 but am no longer able to use that feature with the plus?  why?

It is free to use but if you wish to support Patchou then you can install and use the sponsor program

In a conversation window you have to type "/nick " (without the quiotes but you need to type a space after nick)

With 7.5 choose to sign in with a different address and you can create one from there i think.

You may have to run the Audio/Video wizard again located in the tools menu.

Is it true that the sponser that you install with it, (not that i did) - is it true that they give your computer spyware or has that been fixed? 
Also one other question, do you still have to have msn 7.5 installed in your computer while using the plus version? 

no, it's safe, it only installs harmless ADWARE which just shows some ads and it installs a toolbar for internet explorer (I mite be wrong because I never installed it)

it is also easily removable

The sponsor is not spyware, it adds a search toolbar to Internet Explorer and some links.

And yes, you still need MSN Messenger, MsgPlus is an extension for MSN Messenger that requires it.
