O.P. Browser Dilemma
I seem to have a problem with internet explorer. Everything I type into the address bar somehow opens up the default web browser (which is either ff or opera) and this always happs. I have tried the "reset my web settings" but that doesn't see to do anything. I'm pretty sure i have no viruses etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

I once had the same problem, I think the only way to fix it is to make IE your defult browser again.

Did you make a scan for viruses / *ware (spy,ad,mal etc) ??

You could reinstall IE. Or upgrade to IE7 if you can get it ;)

I think thats what caused the prob in the first place, me using ie7. I cannot manage to install it. It says it cannot verify the authenticity of my system, even though mine has passed the test numerous times before :dodgy:.

This is an IE7 thing.

Are you typing a HTTP URL (http://) or a filesystem URL (file://, C:\)?
