I recently switched my mouses around, but i doubt this has anything to do with it as my mouse works fine with eveything else. Just if i go to open a convo by double clicking, it wont work, just clicks once. I open by right click > send instant message, but its annoying.

Can someone help?

Edit: Also, even after removing, reinstalling, rebooting, everything, ive ALSO found out that no one can see me online either! I appear offline to them!

msn's servers are playing up at the minute. i keep gettin the stupid message couldn't be sent error

iv'e seen this error reported in the Microsoft NG's ,, it could well be a server side problem

The double-click in 7.0 and later is, for some reason, much faster than the rest of the system. If you're like me, and can double-click really stupidly fast, then it's not a problem. If you're not so fast, then try click>Enter instead.

Nah i can double click really fast thats not a problem, it was fine before i swapped my mouses over, maybe its that i dont know. But contacts still cant see me online.

I'm a WLM tester, but decided against testing as i dont like the beta, could it have messe dup my pc switching back?

You won't have messed up your PC by removing WLM and reinstalling MSN Messenger. As for the double-click, it may be the mouse. Try swapping back, see if that fixes it.

The offline thing is a temorary server issue.

Nah its not to do with the mouse, tryed it. I assumed it was related the doubleclicking and 7.5 offline problem, as they both started happening at the same time. Double clicking is fine with WM as is being online. Whats also funny is, i signed in on WM to check it was working, perfect. Signed myself into 7.5 assuming it would sign me out of WM when i did so, yet i stayed online with one passport on BOTH WM and 7.5 They saw me online as on WM (no dp), and whenever i spoke to someone on 7.5, they replyed through WM So im completley confused. HELP!

Edit: Sunshine is a hero Solved the mouse problem, had the double clicking speed set too high, duh! She thinks the other ones a server glitch, who knows. Thanks guys though, any more suggestions would be greatful.
