O.P. Will Windows Live Messenger overwrite msg 7.5?
Hi,
I'm a bit of a newbie here, this is my second post...
A friend has given me a Live Messenger Invite... but I'm unsure if I want it... if it gets rid of Messenger 7.5, like the previous updates of messenger has.
What I mean by 'gets rid of' is that you can't sign in to messenger 7.5 anymore, because your messenger 7.5 doesn't exist anymore... you've got a shiny new messenger live application instead.
My main reason behind this is that I don't want to lose messenger plus... it's so handy and useful, and I love all of it's features. A solution to this is being able to beta test Messenger Plus! Live... which I don't think Patchou gives for the asking, lol.
Another reason is that I've just switched msn addresses... and some people still haven't added my new address, mainly because they don't know who the heck my new address is, or haven't seen me online yet (I have 250 odd contacts). I use the polygamy feature of Stuff Plug to help with this... so I can have both addresses on at the same time. If I could have one on the Live Messenger and another on the messenger 7.5, it would be alright.
Windows messenger doesn't work for me, because no matter how hard I try, it won't work with my proxy.
So... tell me people, fellow Messenger Live beta people, does Messenger Live replace Messenger 7.5, or does it simply keep Messenger 7.5 there still?
