O.P. Minimize to system tray
Sorry if this has already been asked before.
Im wondering if theres a plug-in that minimizes messenger to the system tray (a la Winamp), instead of being seen in the taskbar.
Im currently using WLM 8 Beta, but a plug-in for this or for Messenger 7.5 would be useful.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
PS. Since im using 8.0, I dont have Plus! installed, so I cant remember if it existed on that. If it does, I apologise profusely!

Yes there has it's currently in MSG PLUS.
It is called the "boss feature" You go into settings then set the shortcut for something like Ctrl>alt>B and it will hide it for you
Sorry if thuis is wrong I havn't used plus for ages since I havnt downgraded from 8.0

Yeah, i didnt make myself clear, but the boss feature is what I was thinking about.
I'll just be patient and wait for the Plus! for WML, though.
Thanks anyway!

RE: Minimize to system tray
dont you mean that you want msn to be in systray and not show up in the taskbar even if it's open? (like winamp as you said) The boss protection doesnt let you have it open when its protected.

Just press the x in the top-right corner, labeled "Close".

Ah, sorry for that. I'm pretty sure it's not possible with the standard MSN install, and even with boss protection it just changes the tray icon, it doesn't remove it completely. Plus! seems to be your best option, if you really need it just revert back to MSN 7.5.

RE: Minimize to system tray
could you change the boss icon to match the taskbar theme you are using so it wont be seen... just a space there....
