Hey guys

I don't know, maybe it is because of the new msn build, because that's the only thing changed to my pc last days, but this morning my computer started off as slow as hell. Processes are normal: not too much processes and memory is used, that cannot be the problem as yesterday everything worked fine. Opening 'this computer' takes weigh too much time, the searchlight stays rowling for 30 seconds, opening an mp3 takes much time and i can't run as much things as i used to. I defragmentated my computer, but no effect. Navigating trough maps, internet, programs itself is no problem, that works normal...

anyone who sees what is going on?

have you scanned your pc for adware/spyware/viruses?

yes, i did.

Post your process screen. There might be something running in the background which you thinks normal but someone on the forums might be able to tell you whats wrong

I have one question: Are you using WindowBlinds 5?

Also try a defrag, and maybe a CHKDSK.

he already did

go to run and type in msconfig and then go to the startup tab and uncheck any uneccesary programs for start up.

I also mentioned CHKDSK, to make sure the drive is working correctly.

well i had a problem, about a month ago, that my laptop didn't found my harddisk anymore, so it didn't boot. If i kept trying, it eventually worked afterall. Some messing in the bios solved it and i didn't had a problem with my hdd since then, but i'm not sure whether that problem is fully away, and won't return. Anyways, i'll have a checkdisk, but how do i do that in XP . I'll post my processes in a moment.
