Yahoo has a cool feature - which allows you to appear offline when you sign on...

You can then see who is online, before announcing your 'presence'...

I use my MSN at work, and my staff and boos use it to 'track me' as soon as i open MSN the phone starts ringing...

It would be great to have your default status set to 'Appear Offline' and then change it to 'Online' when you wanted to...

Is this in the pipeline or do others not agree with it being a cool feature of Yahoo...???

Good Idea or Not???

This feature is already in MSN, choose the status before you log in, you can set it as appear offline.

this is a feature of MSN 7.5 as far as i know, just set your status on the login screen to "appear offline" then sign in, and you will be set to appear offline untill you deside to change your status

Where?   The status areas are 'greyed out' before login....

how are you login in, by the little icon in your task bar, or the MSN login screen

you change your status right under the password area
