RE: Windows live onecare
I have to agree with GiantSpider here.
I have had NAV since 2003 and I have never experienced any lag whatsoever.
On the contrary, Windows OneCare Live does lag on my system, not to mention when I did the scanning thingy (I forgot what it is called).

RE: Windows live onecare
I have been using onecare for some time now, but it's annoying the heck out of me. It's also not easy to turn it OFF with just one click and I do not like that one bit. As soon as beta ends, I will go back to AVG free combined with ZA free firewall. This has always worked wonderful on my insanely slow system.

Wasnt it the one who labeled plus as spyware ?

RE: Windows live onecare
yeah tbh i might just un-install all my antivirus and anti spyware, just keep zonealarm running, they never pick up anything ever
i suppose spywareblaster or the immunize feature of some AS's are cool because it blocks them from installing in the first place, which is all that most dumb pc users need anyway

I know that Spybot S&D has that which I use, but it's only compatible with IE which I don't use that much anyway.
Now I can't comment on how much faster it is than Nortan, as I am a McAfee user but using OneCare as your only AV & Firewall is a sure fire way to get a virus.

RE: Windows live onecare
Just thought I'd say.. Windows Live OneCare also slowed down my system and didn't find things like viruses that my free Anti-virus (AVG) did find. So they are going to have to improve quite a bit if they want to charge people for it. I stopped using it a while back.
So thumbs down from me

True It sucks big time for me ..... never does anything anyway (According to the amount of resources it demands .... its pretty useless imo )

Getting on to AVG, when I used to use it it once told me that the sponsor uninstallation program was a trojan horse. You want to hope for your sake it got better.
