I pretty much doubt you manged to use the whole of your hardrive up and installed MSN Messenger and other tools. It just does not add up. Either the error message you told us is wrong or it is a bug with your stealer. Now, what stealer do you use. I highly suggest Stuffplug-NG, it requires Messenger Plus! to work which I am sure you proably have already ;)

I used to get the same problem, and I was using SuffPlug also.
Just keep trying - sometimes it works, sometimes it gives an error msg.

Obviously you have more space on your computer than any possible size of a picture, be it even 5MB. Also, when you steal a display picture, youre getting it at a smaller version, so its size should be small.

The display pictures are saved in your Temporary Internet Folder. That is where MSN Messenger (Windows Messenger Live too I guess) saves them.

So to clear up space, just empty your Temporary Internet Folder. Though that means you will lose them all, unless you save them to another folder.

That isn't the issue.

The problems is about display pictures, those are not send by file transfer, let alone that most people know where they actually are stored to even start a file transfer.

Moreover, people do not need to send display picture thru a file transfer as display pictures are always automatically downloaded to your computer anyways (if you have ticked certain options in Messenger). Hence why 'display picture stealers' work. They don't steal anything, they just copy the display picture which is already on your PC to another location of your choice.
