I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but how can you check if someone else in your buddy list has messenger plus! is there any way you can do this?

Open a conversation with them and type in "/ping" then press enter, leave out the "" though .

Unfortunately, this is the only way to do it.

To add to Traxor, if a user has Messenger Plus! installed a "pong" message will come back. If nothing comes back, they do not have Messenger Plus!

This is the only way because Messenger Plus! respects a persons privacy

If you then right click a contact and view the deatils Messenger Plus! has stored about them it then will tell you if that person has Messenger Plus!. But you must /ping that contact first

Although there is an option to deselect "reply to /ping messages" meaning that a person could hide that they have Plus!
