I personally like SSD's and gif83's 1st attempt (for the shadows)

But as a logo, i think id keep SSD's ;) ...







... though there are a few things i can think of improving :)

I don't think any so far have really been that great to use as a logo for something like that. In my opinion, a logo should be 1 simple image that is easily recognisable, so if you see it you can think: "Oh that's that logo for Omars site!"
