O.P. Nokia 6230
I have 2 Nokia 6230 mobile phones.
The one that I use works.
The other one was my Dads ages and ages ago, and he lost it, phoned up o2, they sent a new one, then we found the phone again... So I used it for my phone after that, after about a week or two, the phone just stopped working. No matter what you did to it the phone would never get any signal. it's as if the phone as been completely jammed from working to phone people up.
Anybody know what the problem is?

RE: Nokia 6230
Try cleaning the chip of the SIM card or try it with a different SIM card.
If unsuccessful, take it to an o2 shop.

It does it with every sim card like i said...
I'd rather not take it to an o2 shop in case they assume that it's a stolen phone or something (which it isn't )

Sounds like the aerial's fudged
You could try taking it apart, locating the aerial, and replacing it with the one from the other phone (assuming you don't need the other phone), but i don't recomend you do this you're self else you might end up with two fudged phones

Well the phone that is currently blocked I want to sell on ebay once it is unblocked, so I'd rather not make any changes to the hardware. I might just take it to a shop and see if they can unblock it.

RE: Nokia 6230
Did you use the new phone or the old phone?
If you used the old phone, then most networks usually block the IMEI number on that phone (which is a unique number related to each phone) when it is reported stolen/lost.
You can get the phones IMEI number changed, but it is quite a shady dealing, try going to a market.

All depends whether Joe can be bothered to bring it to school. If he does then okay .
It's not just a crappy phone either, it's worth like £40 - £50 if you sell it on ebay unlocked .
