Hmm..I'm not so keen.
I and a friend both tried to install Messenger Plus. We both have 7.5, and got this same error:
"The Messenger Plus! Hook couldn't be installed properly on this system. Please re-install the software."

I've tried twice and so has she. What could be the problem?

Did you downloaded Plus! from here, or the lastest version?

I downloaded 3.63.0.148. If this isn't the latest version, could I pls have a link to it? thnx

Reinstall Messenger
- Uninstall
- reboot
- remove folder in program files folder pointing to it
- remove C:\Documents and Settings\<accountname>\Application Data\Microsoft\MSN Messenger\MSN ID Number
- reinstall

Use this for account number

notice the difference: 3.60 and 3.63

Either way, I was rebooting for system maintenance, then logged on to Windows and found Plus! to be installed. It never occured to me once to try rebooting because there was no such prompt, at least that I saw. Is there? I'm not reinstalling to find out lol.
