i need to convert a 608x256 video to a 320x240. i need to resize the video then crop it. And thats where i'm stuck, how do i crop it? (i looked in filters and the only thing i found is "chroma smoother")

I don't think VirtuaDub can crop: you'll need something a bit more powerful.
