I thought that the messenger team was meant to be trying to fix the memmory leak rather than making it worse.  That was with 2 convos open but it still only dropped to around 66,000k when I closed them.  Is anyone else having the same problem with the new version?

It's still called msnmsgr.exe in the final release .

I'll check up on the memory usage when i install it later!

Its also still in the MSN Messenger folder.. It takes up 17 mb here, not that much as you have... Got it running for ~ 3 hours now.. 1 open conversation window.

Was for me, then I closed one conversation window... and then the contact list... went down to 19000... reopened the contact list and it's staying around there.

14,972 now without any convos set as away (dunno if status makes a difference)
