Although they "says" didn't go away, it was just colored with the color 0, which is white, so you simply didn't see it on the whiet background you have.
Using the "/nick2" command instead of "/nick" you can make anything which follows your nickname colored.
The difference between "/nick2" and "/nick" is that "/nick2" does not reset any color tags you've set in the nickname. "/nick" does clear the color tags.
This means that if you set your nickname like so:
/nick Hello
<ctrl+K>4world
Your nick will look like "Hello
world"
And anything you type after that, on the same line, will be colored again as normal (thus including the 'says' in a chatwindow)
Now if you set your nick like this:
/nick2 Hello
<ctrl+K>4world
Your nick will look like "Hello
world"
But anything you type after that, on the same line, will also be colored with color number 4 (thus including the 'says' in a chatwindow)....
PS: also note that using this method it also influences what your contacts see; they too will see a colored 'says' (which might be annoying to them). It isn't just locally to you.
