Sorry - but I thought the old theme was blue and the old site was also blue.

Not to mention the blue is used on the scripting site so it provides even BETTER integration in to the site.

That aside - ever heard of the expression "too many cooks spoil the broth", the same applies for colours - too many colours spoil the design.

Exactly what i was thinking, it matches the scripts db theme and doesn't completely change the old theme. It keeps it similar, just gets rid of some of the gradients.

I think this looks a bit plain.  All the colours do go together nicely, but that's because it only uses like 2 of those that are on the MP!L homepage.  I realise that too many colours make it look messy but I think for better integration it should use th same colour sheme, all of it, it's not like there are too many colours anyway.

Whats wrong with plain?
I'd rather use a plain simple theme than one with loads of different colours flying around. Remember that this is for a site to be used not just looked, so simplicity is the key.

Well I'm feeling quite stupid at the moment, after Chris seemed to like the the first one I whipped up I decided to expand that theme to the index page (still in good ol' MS Paint). Only once finished did I realise it looks almost exactly as the one Chris made himself

I love haydn's, although would be nicer if the "Forum   Posts   Threads   Last Post" bit was either the same colour or more different from the one under it.
