OK, using WLM, I am appearing offline on a second (less used) account, twice now people have messaged me saying 'why are u always on appear offline?' that sort of thing..

I'm just wonderin, how do they know?

You'll have to ask them, because if your appearing offline, they shouldn't know...

If you sign in as online then appear offline, maybe they just guess your appearing offline?

They still shouldn't be able to send messages to somebody on appear offline? should they?

That's the whole point in offline messaging

Well maybe cause ur talking to so-and-so and they talk to so-and-so-and-so else which talks to you. So-and-so talks about how ur talking to them, so so-and-so-and so assumes ur appearing offline. Or maybe they weren't expecting you to answer and that you are really away.
