RE: [Request] Automatic emoticons
This has been discussed before, and as far as I am aware, this is not possible through the scripting interface. It may be possible by patching WLM but this is not recommended or officially allowed.

RE: [Request] Automatic emoticons
If you are trying to send a message without the emoticons in it type /noicon at the start of the message. However, if you are refering to what Stuffplug did then yes it is possible but no script has currently been made yet .

I'm really interested on that too.
But, one question: Once I have a script that does that, both (me - the sender- and the receiver) will not see the smile? Or only me?
My contact will need that too?

the feature we are requesting is that the msg don't change automatically the (sth) by the emoticon correponent but it will chage it when you send it
the command no icon allows you to send a message without icons. and you didn't need to install anything

RE: [Request] Automatic emoticons
What I am hoping to achieve is to be able to replicate the MsgPlus 3.x feature of launching the Emoticon selection pop-up when ( is typed.
This was such a kewl feature and I want it back....heehee
Any ideas how to do this?

RE: [Request] Automatic emoticons
Stuffplug used to have a feature that disabled the automatic replacement of smileys, so you wouldn't have to patch anything. It must be possible, though I have no idea how.
