when i sign out then sign back in my personal message disappears and this has been happening ever since i got msn:S

Make sure the second box in the category Security in the options window, is UN-checked.

But, what version are you using?
And do u use ZoneAlarm?

unchecked it now and im using WLM 8.0 and no i dont use ZoneAlarm thanks for the help (Y)
