It is known that PLUS! has this feature, however, I would like to know what special code this program uses to activate that feature.

Plus!  -->  Preferences  -->  Conversations  -->  Increase the maximum size of messages you can send to 1100 characters.

Thanks for your post Dempsey, but what I would like to know is how Plus! makes that working. I think theres a code used, and I would like to know which is it.

Plus! finds all the elements in the window. (Not possibly using standard API calls because every control is wrapped in a DirectUI). Then it uses the SendMessage API and sends the constant for the MaximumLength (forget what it is) and the new length.

It is possible to do it in another program, because if it has been done in one program, it can be in another. But as for how, you will have to either google it or find out yourself I don't think Patchou will give away his secrets
