Hallo everyone,

Have one simply question. Sometime ago I saw a website, where the person had a Messenger icon with a ordinary <a> link. But this actually added the owner of the blog to my personal messenger - if you know what I mean.

Sadly, the blog is closed - so I can't so the link.

Therefore my question to you guys - does anyone know this method or link? And is it possible to make it work in Firefox too, cause I'd only worked with Internet Explorer.

I think it's the 'msnim:' protocol, which is IE-only, unless there's a Firefox extension for it now. I don't know the format though, sorry.

You need <a href="msnim:add?contact=typeaddresshere"></a>
It doesnt work with firefox though.

Or alternately you could use firefox and make it browser independent, like this forum does

It still requires scripting to be turned on, and for scripts to use ActiveX.

Edit: Tested the forum's method, and it don't work in Firefox.
