Sorry for the dramatic subject, but i'm desperate. I want to update my Xbox 360 to play original xbox games. But I don't know how! I do not have Xbox Live and I'm not sure if the things I'm using to burn data is working. Here's what I'm using - Nero Burner, and I'm using DVD Memorex CD's to burn it onto. Maybe I'm doing something wrong PLEASE HELP!

Let's roll kids, we're gonna party like the amish.
I'm guessing you downloded the update off the xbox site. So now you need to extract the file and burn it to a DVD or CD.
Then stick it in the xbox and update.
Your sure it got burned on the DVD? try putting the dvd in your computer and check to see if the file is on the DVD. If it is then if you have a blank CD try useing that instead of the DVD.
I dont have an xbox nor a 360 but if the update was in .iso format or in .bin/cue format you have to make sure you burn it as an image rather than just burning it as data onto the disk.
Maybe you already did this im not sure. but if not and you are unsure write back for help.

No its not iso, its a xex file. Xex is a excutable for the 360. You just burn the xex on the cd/dvd then put it into the 360. Then the 360 opens the xex and runs it.
